The (NCE) National Competitive Examination of the DOST-Philippine Science High Scholarship System made an announcement on the opening of its scholarship application for the academic year 2027-2028.
NCE ensures deserving students have access to quality STEM education at the secondary level and become future innovators, scientists, and leaders.
Requirements to Apply
To apply for the scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be a Filipino Citizen
- Final Grade of 85% or better in Science and Mathematics, or belonging to the upper 10% of the batch.
- Must be 15 years old by June 30 of the admission year.
- Must be Good in character
- Must not have previously applied for admission to PSHS.
- Must be in Good Health to undergo a rigorous academic program.
Scholarship Benefits
Qualified Scholars receive benefits support throughout their education.
- Free Tuition fee
- Monthly Stipend
- Free loan of textbooks
- Uniform, transportation, and living allowance for low-income groups
- Accommodation (if applicable)

Documentary Requirements
Must submit the following valid documents:
- Fully accomplished application form
- Recent 1×1 Picture
- Certified true copy of Grade 5 report card by the class principal or adviser.
- If the science and math grades are below 85%, the Certificate of Child must be in the upper 10% of the batch.
- If the pupil-application is on full scholarship, Certification from the private school.
- Proessing fee:
- PHP 300 (non-refundable) for private school students
- Free for public school students and for students with a full scholarship from private schools.
