The CHED Scholarship is Now Open for all eligible Filipino College students for the Academic Year 2026 to 2027, The Higher Education Act of 1994 was created through the passage of Republic Act No. 7722.

CHED Merit Scholarship program is a Government Funded Scholarship aimed in helping students on their Educational Assistance, Who are belong to the following Groups
- other relevant legislation that gives priority to the marginalized group
- first-generation students who are the first in their families to attend college or university.
- Applicants from these groups must still meet the minimum qualification requirements and shall be ranked in accordance with the programโs selection criteria
What is CHED Scholarship
The CHED Scholarship Provide financial assistance in the Philippines. These Program is designed to support deserving Students in pursuing their Higher Education.
Scholarship Program is now open for all incoming freshmen who wants to pursue undergraduate studies in CHED recognized Priority Program.
- Private Higher Education institutions – (HEIs)
- State Universities and Colleges – (SUCs) and
- Local Universities and Colleges – (LUCs)
Scholarship Requirements to Apply
To Apply for CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CMS), You need to follow the eligibility requirements as follows:
- Must be Filipino Citizen residing in the Philippines;
- Must be incoming first-year college student;
- Must have Graduate of a Senior High school in the Philippines with a minimum general average (GA) of 93;
- The combined annual gross income of parents or legal/authorized guardians does not exceed toย (โฑ500,000.00);
- Obtain admission in the following higher education Institutions (HEIS):
- State University and Colleges (SUCS);
- Local Universities and Colleges (LUCS) with Institutional Recognition (IR); or
- CHED-recognized Private HEIS (PHEIS)
- Enroll in CHED-identified priority programs offered by:
Documentary Requirement to apply
To Apply For a CHED Scholarship you need to provide a valid Documents, Here are the list of valid Documents:
- Must have Accomplished Application form using Annex A;
- Photocopy of the National ID or
- Photocopy of the PSA-issued National ID Transaction Slip or
- Copy of the birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) or
- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA);
- Academic Certified true copy of Grade 12 School Form 9 (SF9) or
- Learnerโs Progress Report, duly signed by the registrar or
- An authorized representative of the senior high school attended;
- Financial applicable:
- Submit any one (1) of the following proof of income documents:
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or legal / authorized guardian(s) from BIR;
- Certificate of Tax Exemption of parents or legal / authorized guardian(s) from BIR
- Certified true copy of the latest contract or proof of income may be considered for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and Seafarers;
- Social Case Study Report issued by the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD/MSWD).
- Submit any one (1) of the following proof of income documents:

Full PESFA โ Semestral Benefits as follows
Full PESFA โ Will receive a total of โฑ60,000, as follows:
- Tuition & Other School Fees โ โฑ20,000;
