The BARMM Scholarship Program 2024, also known as the BASE-MERIT Scholarship, is designed for students, Bangsamoro Government Ministry Science and Technology Officially open and accepting online scholarship application for Filipino Students.
What is BARMM Scholarship Program?
The BARMM Scholarship in the Philippines is a program initiative under the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Administered by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The Program aims to provide financial assistance to students.

There are Two Scholarship Program:
- BASE Program (Bangsamoro Assistance for Science Education).
- BASE-MERIT Scholarship Program.
BARMM BASE Scholarship Program
The BARMM BASE Scholarship stands for the Bangsamoro Assistance for Science Education (BASE). it is one of the main scholarship programs initiated by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in BARMM. The program helps to support students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
BARMM BASE Scholarship Program Benefits
The BARMM BASE Scholarship Program offers many financial and academic support to deserving students. the benefits helps students to pursue higher education. Below are the list of benefits:
- PHP80,000 per year to cover the following fees
- PHP8,000 per month shall be deposited into the Bank Account every last week of the month.
The Benefits coverage Includes:
- Tuition Fees: Payment for academic courses.
- Living Allowance: To Support daily living expenses such as food and accommodations.
- Transportation Allowance.
- Book and learning Materials
- Clothing Allowance
Eligibility to apply BARMM BASE Scholarship Program
Those wo wish to apply for BARMM BASE Scholarship Program you must meet the following eligibility as follows:
- They must be a Filipino Citizen and a Resident of BARMM,
- They must be a Member of the STEM Strand Senior High School Graduating Class with 85% GWA During the Grade 12 of the 1st Semester.
- Non-Stem Strand: minimum GWA of 90% in the same period.
- They must not be a recipient of other scholarship programs.
- Good Moral Character and Good Health.
- They must pass the BASE qualifying Examination.
- should enroll in a priority STEM Course under the Program.
Documentary requirements to apply
To apply for BARMM Scholarship Program, applicants must prepare and submit specific documentary requirements. Here are the list of documents:
- Completed Online Application Form:
- Download he form and fill with correct information.
- Proof of Residency: Barangay or Municipal certification indicating the applicant has been a resident of BARMM for at least Six Months.
- Birth Certificate.
- Certificate of Good Moral Character.
- Academic Records:
- Certified true copy of the Senior High School Report Card (Grade 12, First Semester).
- For STEM Strand: General Weighted average (GWA) of at least 85%.
- For NON-STEM Strand: GWA of at least 90%
- Photocopy of a Government-issued ID (e.g., School ID, Barangay ID)
- Medical Certificate.
- Two (2) Recent 2×2 Photos:
- Must be clear and taken against a white background.
- A notarized affidavit or proof of income annually.

II. Application Process:
- Download the BASE and BASE-Merit Form, fill it out, then scan and convert it into PDF format;
- Go to https://bit.ly/E-BASE_BASEMERIT , upload the accomplished application form, including other required documents;
- Print out the converted downloadable forms; and
- Submit the hard copy of your documents to the nearest MOST Provincial office.
The deadline for submission of all pertinent documents and applications is on March 27, 2024. The examination date will be in April 2024.
